what is it?

Have you got a fabulous idea to help make kids in Hamilton happier or healthier? SpecKids Unlimited is offering a grant of up to $25,000 to a person or organization with an outstanding project to improve the lives of children in our community. .

how do i do it?

If you know of a brilliant way to help kids in The Hamilton Spectator’s readership area then you should apply! Our SpecKids team will sort through the applications and narrow the list down to the five submissions we feel will most benefit children in this area.

who wins?

We will publish submissions from five finalists both in The Spectator and on thespec.com. Then we will let Spectator readers help decide who gets the money by allowing you to vote on your favorite idea from among the finalists. You can help promote your favorite idea by getting the word out so people visit thespec.com and vote for your cause!

The Summer Camp Fund


Summer Camp Fund Logo

The Hamilton Spectator Summer Camp Fund is used to provide camperships to children whose families could not otherwise financially afford the cost of summer camp for their youngsters.  The funds raised by The Hamilton Spectator Summer Camp Fund are distributed to day and overnight camps in our community. The Hamilton Spectator Summer Camp Fund is a partnership project between Hamilton Community Foundation and The Hamilton Spectator.
